This canal-side location needed a venue that gave full access to the surrounding area so an open-sided canopy was chosen. To maximise the feeling of being outside, a clear Polyglas roof and gable ends were used above a dance floor, DJ booth, VIP area and bar.
The canopy is based on our marquee event structure with anthracite powder-coated arched aluminium frame and suspended gables. Taking out all walls except the back wall behind the stage gives fabulous access for party-goers to the surrounding location.
The building was specified with a load-bearing capacity of approximately 900kg per frame to support the extra weight of heavy lighting and sound equipment suspended from the roof frame.
The building also features fastening on strip foundations and PVC side closures to keep bad weather out.
