In Staufenberg, central Hesse, we built an interim sports hall for the district of Giessen. The hall serves as a fully working sports venue for temporary use by schools and sports clubs while construction work is carried out on existing buildings.
As the general contractor for this project, we delivered a completely enclosed sports hall measuring 17m x 35m. The building is insulated with 100mm thick sandwich panels and has mobile sports parquet flooring, impact walls, dark beam heating and modern electrical installation we also installed the building’s alarm system, a synthetic leather partition curtain, and an upstream container facility containing changing rooms and storage space for sports equipment. As part of the contract, we also completed the preparatory work such as planning a reusable foundation and thermal insulation certificates.
The district of Giessen is a municipal authority in the heart of Hesse with around 260,000 inhabitants. It operates numerous educational and sports facilities and attaches great importance to modern, sustainable infrastructure projects to support public life. The temporary sports hall is now in full use by the district’s school and sports clubs.
